What Keegi does, and what is expected back.

Short enough to read. The parts a commercial contract needs are not here, and they are not invented either. They are named at the foot, still open.

The exchange

You describe what you are stuck on. Keegi returns up to three people who have evidence of doing that, with a sentence saying why each one, and it will tell you it has nobody rather than pad the list. If you write a card of your own, Keegi shows you to somebody only when their question matches what you wrote. None of this costs anything today, and none of it is a promise that the answer is right.

Keegi is new and its public corpus is small, so it refuses most questions. That is the honest state of it, not a fault. How we measure is where the numbers behind it live.

Four things that are asked of you

  • Write about yourself, and truthfully. A Keegi Public card is a claim you are making about what you can help with. It is marked as self-declared wherever it appears, precisely because nothing has verified it. Writing somebody else’s card, or claiming work that is not yours, is the one thing that makes the whole surface worthless.
  • The relay is for asking a person for help. It is not for recruiting at scale, selling, campaigning, or anything you would send to a list. Keegi passes one message per question per person and rate-limits the rest, so the mechanism already refuses volume; this is the rule the mechanism is enforcing.
  • Do not try to enumerate people. There is no directory, no browse page, and no result you can link to, by design. Scripting the search box to reconstruct one is the thing all of that exists to prevent.
  • Inside a company workspace, the workspace’s rules apply. Your employer connected the sources and decides who is in it. Keegi shows every employee their own card, every citation behind it, and who asked about them. The corpus is still the company’s, not ours and not yours.

What happens if one of them is broken

The account stops being able to search or send. If a card is about somebody else, it comes down. We would rather write to you first. For mail nobody wanted, we will not wait to.

What Keegi will not do

Publish a directory, put a result at a URL, sell anyone’s data, or tell a manager how much somebody works. The first three are absent from the architecture, not switched off in it. The fourth is the subject of Security.

What is not written here yet

Liability, warranties, governing law and the agreement a paying customer signs. Those are a lawyer’s, and they are open, which is worth knowing before you rely on this page for something it does not cover. If you are evaluating Keegi for a company, ask. The customer agreement and the DPA are a conversation, not a click-through.
